ArchVision Content Manager (ACM) The ArchVision Content Manager (ACM) is ArchVision's NEW platform for the management and distribution of digital content. Think of the ACM as your "Digital Librarian", a silent partner that will help locate, retrieve, organize and purge a continual flow of content to your desktop. In fact, the ACM will provide occasional FREE content.
Projects The ArchVision Content Manager currently allows you to re-organize and rename RPC Content for specific projects. For example you could create a new project called "Office Building 1" and add RPC Content from varying People and/or Tree Libraries that you plan to use in the project. You could then rename or add a content category such as "People - Front Lobby" and include the RPCs that are designated for that area. You can even rename the individual RPCs to be more relevant to the project. For example you could rename one of your Sitting People RPCs as "Reception Desk Greeter". This function can be a great organizational tool, especially if there are multiple people involved in the production. When finished, your project shows up in the New Project pull down menu in the RPC Plug-In interface. Content Masking Content Masks make it easy to rethink and "correct" any of the Meta data that was originally embedded in RPC Content. Masks can then be loaded into your ACM and the content information will be corrected in the RPC interface. For example, ArchVision originally published several RPC Shrubs that were included in various RPC Tree collections in a category labeled "Shrubs [General]". When ArchVision released the RPC Shrubs and Ornamental Grasses, all 30 pieces of content began showing up in the RPC Plug-In interface under a category labeled "Shrubs & Grasses". Using a mask in the ACM, the 10 misplaced pieces of content begin showing up along with the others under the "Shrubs & Grasses" Category. Multiple Content Masks can be loaded in the ACM. They are processed in descending order. License Management The Digital Rights Management (DRM) system centralizes the administration and management of content and software licensing. The ACM lets RPC Plug-In Licenses to "float" among multiple workstations allowing you to optimize the number of licenses required for your office. The system also enables exciting new licensing options including both time and use based options. Downloads
The ACM provides automated download features for participating websites. You'll find ACM Enabled websites at www.augi.com/exchange (the Autodesk Users Group Internation website) and www.archvision.com. ArchVision supports access to RPC Content and software purchases 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from archvision.com via the ACM. During the ordering process on archvision.com you can request that your order be available for immediate download. Upon completion of the ordering process you can then initiate an automatic download of your recent purchase through the ACM Download function. Download
